If you Google "Zucker Fired" you'll get 172,000 hits. A whole lot of people think Zucker was FIRED, including a whole lot of newspaper reporters and editors. In my lexicon, somebody whose employment is involuntarily terminated by his employer has been FIRED. The circumstances of his leaving also argue he was fired. He had been the driving force in several programming fiascos, including the Conan OBrien mess. People get fired for screwing up and Zucker screwed up enough that his good decisions were dwarfed by his mistakes, especially lately.
