Reader comment on: Minority Broker-Dealers Campaign Contributions

Submitted by J.Johnson (United States), Oct 20, 2010 09:47

This seems like 'small ball' unless something else comes up. By contrast, there is a real scandal with respect to blatant 'insider trading' by congressional staff and, as far as I can tell, almost of the MSM are ignoring it. Interestingly, some of the congressional aides who traded on inside information were not at all hesitant about revealing it because they claimed that insider trading laws don't cover them. I really wonder if this is true. When Dick Durbin, Illinois senator, traded on inside info in 2008, he denied it happened, altho the facts were clear. Maybe somebody ought to check and see if, indeed, congressional STAFF are exempt.
