What we see, basically, is a prolonged case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) combined with intellectual arrogance which blinds them to reality. The Democrats have never gotten over the shock of their defeat. They have convinced themselves that any alternative to their ideology is inconceivable among intelligent, civilized people. They thought that with Clinton they were on the threshold of final victory, but the door to Paradise was slammed shut in their face. They are frantic lest this election proves them wrong again.
