Trump's behavior as if he were a school yard bully — call folks names etc, probably lost him the votes of everyone who was bullied in school. One expects more from a grown person than an elementary school bully. In addition his inability to keep his mouth (or Twitter account) silent likely made a difference, he reminded me of something my mother told be when little: put brain in gear before running your mouth. I do suspect other presidents had such opinions but they were able to keep it to themselves.
