Our government has no business funding any journalism or artistic endeavors. We ought to completely defund both CPB and the various National Endowments. Government funding of the arts has no place in a free society. Artists themselves will be better off relying on voluntary patronage rather than seeking to compel their fellow citizens to fund their efforts.
