Maryland's missing millionaires

Someone's pointed out that Maryland instituted the tax was when the economy went south. It's possible that the millionaires didn't move physically, but economically (out of that bracket.) I guess what needs to be checked is if Maryland lost a greater percentage of millionaires after the tax than other states did.
