My wife and I got hit by the 'millionaire tax'; with an income of about $400,000 we got stuck with the new 10.8% rate.

Our solution? I moved to Washington. She still works in Oregon, and pays Oregon taxes. I live in Washington, and pay no income tax. Our tax savings is somewhere around $15k per year, which more than pays for the dinky apartment I rent there.
