For Aluminum cans it's about 34 cans for 85 cents today or about 3 cents a can. Other metals also make sense, Iron and steel. But glass with the low price of natural gas is not likely to be very worthwhile to recycle. To make glass economic you need a hefty carbon tax. Newspaper has always swung from being at some times economic to at other times not. So basically the winners today are metals the rest are losers.
