It's comments like this - "The characterization...is probably a bit of an oversimplification" - that make this blog seem more than a bit needlessly contrarian. You've printed plenty of posts that are probably a bit of an oversimplification; that's called good copy. The advice is, when you agree with the "broader point" of an excellent observation, help out rather than snark.
