The Republicans have yet to recover from Tom Delay/Karl Rove's belief that the purpose of politics is to be in power and increase power. Once in power, you try to accumulate more power. It is no wonder that the Tea partiers are gaining so much traction because the national Republicans have lost their bearings. They stand for nothing, other than trying to tear down Obama.
