With all due respect Congressman, you have very little credibility talking about economic policy. why? Because you voted for the greatest abomination in the history of economic policy in this country,TARP, the wall street bailout.

You love to quote the great F.A. Hayek...does the concept of purging the malinvestment created by government interference in the price setting mechanism of the market, by not continuing to prop up those failed companies and misallocated resources mean anything to you? Well that's Hayek.

Voting to bail out Wall Street was such a grotesque distortion/violation of the profit/loss model at the heart of the free enterprise model--CAPITALISM--- that made this country great.

To think you went along with Bernanke and Paulson and their bullying and threatening everyone to do what they said and bail wall street out, for without this 'solution' the earth would surely have crashed into the center of the sun and working families would be eating out of garbage cans.

Please explain your vote, or don't continue passing yourself off as the resident free market, pro-capitalism scholar in the republican conference.
