It seems to Obama--

Reader comment on: A Forced TARP at BB&T

Submitted by Everett Marm (United States), Jan 16, 2010 07:15

I'm trying to Google up the actual text of the speech, but it was very close to: "It seems to me that those banks that are doing well and can afford to pay large executive bonuses can afford to pay the taxpayers back every penny it owes them. " I then remembered that not all the banks which took money wanted to do so, that they were forced, under the terms of the TARP plan and according to the documents produced by Judicial Watch that were speaking points for then-treasury secretary Hank Paulson, to accept the proffered cash infusions or be told by their government regulators to accept such cash infusions. Now he's going to exact a premium via the leverage of demanding taxes on money he forced banks to take in the first place.

Ladies and gentlemen, get your cameras ready. You're about to bear witness to the most sensational swindle ever set by our government upon its people.
