This was my favorite line from Sorkin's piece:

"None of this is meant to judge Mr. Jobs."

Of course that is exactly what he meant to do.

Liberals are like the mercantilists of old who saw all trade in terms of winners and losers. Liberals just cannot accept that capitalism is not a zero sum game in which there is a loser for every winner. Seems to me Jobs created jobs and wealth (how many endowments benefited from owning Apple over the past decade?) and that should really suffice. In fact, it is a great credit to him that despite the fact that his mortality should be foremost on his mind, he is not busy putting his name on buildings and foundations (at least that I know about) in a quest for immortality.
