These tax cut extensions are a trap.

First, they're bankrupting the government faster than it is already. They cannot be continued forever.

Second, Obama will get to campaign against a Republican candidate that will raise the rates he lowered or be accused of not having a balanced budget.

Restore the taxes now or the Republican president will get the blame.
