Do you agree with Kinsley comment - "That's capitalism, and if we don't like the results, we can use the tools of government, primarily the tax code, to improve them."

The Future of Capitalism replies:

Well, "can" is different from "should." But as he framed, I do agree. In general I favor using the tax code to raise revenue rather than as a tool for social policy.
