Reader comment on: Alice Walton's Defenders

Submitted by John Gillis (United States), Dec 23, 2011 20:07

Michael Kinsey is no friend or defender of Alice Walton or others who want to spend their money as they please. He says, to put it plainly, that "we" have the right to change the laws to steal her money.

There will not be much substantial change in this country towards a free society until this malignant approach is expunged from people's minds. "We", including the legal officials of our Federal, state and local governments have no right to take anyone's money via the tax code or via any other laws. The Constitution was created to prohibit just that process that has been going on in almost all societies for most of human history. The Constitution's purpose was to severely limit the government's ability to take citizen money. That fact has clearly been breed out of contemporary intellectuals such as Mr. Kinsey.
