Consider state and local regulations first, for example requiring a license to be an interior designer, or having to have a funeral directors license to build coffins (Louisiana). Or restricting the number of cabs, or zoning and land use planning. I think states and local governments do more interfering with business than the feds, start there, run for the city council and propose to abolish local regulations, and watch the businesses kill you because they use these rules to protect themselves from competition. Regulation is fine for business if it keeps the other guy from their business niche.
