Subway is apparently the cheapest fast food franchaise out there since they just need the serving table and some fridges. BTW it should be noted that according to Rival Rails the Santa Fe outsourced its food service to Fred Harvey. Of course the unions are why the railroads almost died in the early 1980s, until they finally got rid of the brakemen the caboose and the fireman. Look up the accidentals that the unions had such as if a dispatcher gave a train order to the engineer without going thru the clerk, the clerk got 8 hours of pay. One question at longer stops at Amtrak stations are there food carts (there were 130 years ago for railroads)
