Annie,

The South is fond of all the things you point out. Oil, guns , military, factories. We are too busy working to defend the borders.

You need to look at geography better. The oil is in the south (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Gulf of Mexico), the guns are in the South (country boys are hunters),the Military is in the south (Camp LeJune Carolina, Foot Hood Texas largest Army base), the factories are in the South, Mercedes and Hyundai in Alabama, BMW in South Carolina, Toyota opening a truck plant outside San Antonio Texas. Texas Department of Corrections is in the top 10 world wide for executions.
