Reader comment on: John Steele Gordon on Carried Interest

Submitted by John Gillis (United States), Apr 3, 2013 17:27

Mr. Gordon is not so much of a "center-right" intellectual as he is a highly mixed writer who is no friend of capitalism in most of his writings. And this piece by him is part of his long-term legacy of one who is not intellectually committed to anything like laissez-faire capitalism -- and he would undoubtedly agree with this assessment.

If he was really a good "right" intellectual, he would be arguing for radical removal of taxation to make for a better world, but no -- he and the WSJ spend their op-ed space throwing up bizarre technocratic arguments for soaking the rich more.
