Reader comment on: Jonathan Turley on Obama's Lawlessness

Submitted by StuporDave (United States), Feb 28, 2014 23:05

Had not Republicans expressed their open hatred of a thoughtful, intelligent black man in the White House (not a butler) on day one of his first term, I would concede Turley's argument. However, in light of the typical ego of a politician, it's important to note that Obama would not be true to his beliefs if he acquiesced to House demands that he become a Republican, for all intents and purposes, leaving only navigating around Congress as a way to avoid being accused of fiddling while Rome burns, which Republicans would surely do if he let them have their way.
