Reader comment on: Wait for the Faces of 'Victims'

This is a point that does not get enough play. There were real people behind these mortgages, people whose lives have been upended, whose marriages have not survived the strains of the economic pain, who have had to skip an occasional meal out or forgo the plane fare to visit an ailing relative in an effort to keep up with an unpayable mortgage payment. These mortgages were structured to fail. The banks gamed the customers, and the bankers get to keep the money. This snake-oil banking must end. We need as strong a financial reform bill as possible, hopefully Obama will get us there. I would love to see a few perp-walks in downtown Manhattan.
