Welfare for the rich is a particulaly insidious kind of corruption. Because it is for the rich, it creates a cynical attitude toward capitalism and free enterprise because perceived capitalists are the beneficiaries. It is, in fact, not capitalism at all, but "crony capitalism" for the favored few.
