Disgusting, But I Fear Not Atypical

Reader comment on: Hennessey on Gruber

Submitted by Roger Meyer (United States), Nov 12, 2014 17:46

If my understanding of the facts is correct Gruber is a disgrace to MIT, his candor notwithstanding.

Too many liberal academics embrace the notion that if the end objective is desirable (as they see it ) a little 'heavenly deceit' is perfectly acceptable. And the hubris embodied in the "stupidity of the American voter" quote evidences a disturbing disdain meant to justify his complicity in consciously deceptive conduct.

In plain English, (again assuming my understanding of the reported facts is correct) the guy is a patronizing jerk whose conduct may explain why some members of our population just won't reflexively bend a knee at the foot of 'expert academics' who claim to know what's best for society.
