Remember Mitch McConnel's line right after the 2008 election, how he wanted more than anything to beat Obama? Those Republicans ignored the will of the voters, and made defeating Obama and shutting down the government their cause. They fought tooth and nail against a healthcare plan that was praised by the heritage foundation in the early 90's and put in action in MA by a Republican governor. In short, they ignored the will of the electorate - an electorate that was much broader than the one that just showed up to vote.

Are you against curbing greenhouse gas emissions? Are you against immigration? I know this site is extremely pro-immigration, and given that Republicans won't pass anything about anything, Obama needs to take action. Good for him, I just wish he had done it prior to the election, as I think it actually would have helped us (couldn't have made things worse).
