Value for value receivedReader comment on: Laugh Line of the Day Submitted by Peter Gordon (United States), Feb 27, 2015 14:12 Equal pay for women, minimum wage, living wage are all apiece with an uneconomic view of our capitalist economy. Pay should be based on value received by the payor. Some women make substantially more than the men that work for them. That is because the payor believes that the value delivered by those women excedes the value received from those men. When we start to pay based on exogenous values rather than the economic ones our businesses will be weaker and more failure prone and our economy will degrade to that of most socialst states that this type of policy attempts to emulate.
