John,

Understand and appreciate your comments; but, in the minds of many Progressives and Independents; there isn't ten cents worth of difference between the Tea Party and the GOP.

Many were Sympathic to the Tea Party and their views at their Inception. However; so many now believe that the Tea Party Message & Movement was Co-opted by the Money Men in the GOP; and, they quickly took it over. Can't help but feel; many of the positions that TOP Tea Party Leaders espouse; are antitheticial to the goals of the Founders; and, actually dangerous to the Rank & File. Meaning; many of their stealthy goals are not in your - - and, others like you; BEST INTERESTS. There is this feeling that Billionaire Conservatives now Control everything of Import - - in the Tea Party. Ever consider that you might be dubed? (No disrespect intended.)
