Customer statisfaction is improved, partly because in the dine in part of the business you apparently sit down and a kiosk like those at Chilis is at the table where you place your order, which is then delivered to the table. (Eliminating the wait for the order before going to the table). Also at least for credit card orders the kiosk can take the payment. Surveys show more accurate orders as well. (Not really a new idea since I first saw an earlier version back in the 1960s using phones at Kings Food Hosts in NE).

It also eliminates the queing at the counter to place the order, and then the wait until you pick up the order at the counter (Note some fast food places already do the delivery, giving you a number plate when you place the order such as at least some Whataburgers).
