I can say that the conditions on the slope dictate which is more fun. In the northeast, full of sheet ice, i will take skiis any day. Out west, with the fluffy snow, you can't beat the snowboard. In other words, when times are tough, I want a skier, when the are cushy and easy, Geithner would be fine. Good things the times are easy!
