Reader comment on: Explaining Kerry's Yacht-Tax Dodge

You seem to be saying (?) that the senator's spouse's decision to be a Pennsylvania, rather than Massachusetts, resident is based on tax avoidance. Given that she was the spouse of a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, it does not appear all too unusual that she might want to keep her former state of residence for reasons, maybe even sentimental ones, other than taxes. And, while the topic is taxes, you might want to mention the recent scribblings of one Katrina vanden Heuvel advocating imposition of stiff inheritence taxes while simultaneously enjoying a wealth-fueled lifestyle courtesy of a generous inheritance via trusts established by her very rich grandfather, the late Jules Stein, founder of MCA.
