Reader comment on: The New Yorker on David and Charles Koch

Submitted by Peter Boyle (United States), Aug 27, 2010 11:22

I am heartened when I see confirmation of a reality first put forward by V. Gordon Childe: "Man has never adapted to reality, only to his interpretation of it." Right/Left wing, Conservative/Liberal, Capitalist/Socialist; all these labels divide us and make us easy prey to ideologues. The only real division, the one that matters, is rich/poor. When Reagan abandoned Keynesian Economics and replaced it with Milt Freidman's 'Trickle Down' theory and 'Free Trade' he set us on the path to where we are now. Only 90% of the population is suffering in any way during this 'recession', the top 10% are doing very well thank you.
