I like your analysis in this post. I also think that Ryan's budget is a "useful starting point", like you said in a post the other day. Had he asked for a lower corporate tax, or a flat tax rate or lower income tax rate I doubt many people would even be talking about this budget. I think it is a good place to start and makes a dent in the spending mentality of Congress. If this can work for a few years, then maybe it can be built upon slowly. I think the concept behind this budget he is proposing has a chance to change the way we spend money in this country. If he had asked for the moon, we would never even get a debate.
