"Muchas gracias. Que Dios los bendiga," is how Reagan put it in a 1982 White House ceremony celebrating Hispanic Heritage Week.
"Mi casa es su casa," Reagan said in 1983 at a White House luncheon for Hispanic leaders.
The 1984 Reagan re-election campaign aired two Spanish-language political ads, according to the book Campaigning to the New American Electorate: Advertising to Latino Voters.
