Estate Tax

Reader comment on: A 65% Death Tax?

It does not take a genius to realize that the only people who pay significant Estate taxes are the uninformed and the mistrustful. Any one with an Estate large enough to incur the highest rate of Estate Tax has the money to get legal advice to avoid or significantly reduce the tax liability or does not trust the advice given or the people required to be relied upon. The Estate Tax is a tool that allows politicians to claim they are standing up for the little guy, when they are just ensuring business for lawyers, bankers and accountants so that the tax can be reduced or avoided.
