Of course, you would agree that tax-cutting republicans play the same game. Cut certain taxes, rake in the contributions from the industry/individual that benefits and then use the money to get elected and take a second career as a lobbyist. My point is, taxing others and redistributing that money is not the weak link, it is the fact that politicians must pass the hat at every opportunity to fill their campaign coffers. This is why I support publicly financing elections.
