Tell someone you feel the efficacy and efficiency of "regulation by the market" is superior to regulation by government. Listen to the response. If they given an answer that shows they have no idea what "market regulation" is, bingo! An econ moron. Ms. Ripley clearly falls in this category based upon this foolish belief in Galbraithian countervailing power.

The reason why college tuition has grown at twice the rate of inflation for decades is NOT because the government isn't doing enough; it's because the government is doing too much of the wrong things. If the government subsidizes tuition increases, what does anyone with half a brain think will happen?
