THE THREE-YEAR-OLD CAUSED A LAWSUIT?

Reader comment on: Air Passenger Sues Over Crying Toddler

Imagine that! A THREE-YEAR-OLD in charge of the adults in his/her life! Geeeeee.....how does that HAPPEN? Parenting skills are passe! Respect for others and respect for onesself seem to have expired! It's not about living peacefully with others anymore. Its about the big ME. Teaching your child of three that screaming will get the desired self-centered results he or she thinks necessary--actually, CONDITIONING your child to behave this way in order to get attention speaks volumes to the ineptitude of today's parents. These parents would sue you for everything you own if you reprimand the poor dears...but then, the one needing discipline is MOST likely the parent. Ignoring a child's natural ravenous instinct to learn and master the tiny environment they truly are charged with understanding leads to disastrous and uncomfortable consequences for NOT JUST THE PARENTS, but for everyone who unfortunately is exposed to such undisciplined screams to learn and understand his or her role in a society, instead of the confusing, frustrating void of solitude they are evidently fighting their captivity in!

Ever consider the fact that a prison's most effective message-deliverer to ultra rebellious inmates is SOLITARY CONFINEMENT? A parent's first responsibility is to teach their children living skills!

Is that REALLY so difficult to grasp? No THING or POSSESSION is as precious as a life entrusted to your care! And your FIRST responsibility, parents, is to give the unselfish guidance your child needs, and NOT your personal gratification in gaining whatever your neighbor has, and you don't! It takes two parents who place the lives of their young before selfish desires, comfort or leisure. The work of a parent is not easy! But it is your responsibility until your child is unwaveringlyconvinced that he or she is mature enough to exist independently from parental discipline! Only then does a parent's responsibility end.

Just my opinion, as a grandma and a co-inhabitant of earth!
