Roberts FEC Entrepreneurship

Reader comment on: A Big Victory for Free Speech

Submitted by Pat (United States), Aug 23, 2010 12:35

Congratulations is in order for Justice Roberts perception that the tracking of FEC campaign donations is important to America to avoid the sweetheart favorable legislative deals that can come from untracked donations.

Now that corporates are free to give, the FEC is free to scrutinize and publicize deals that may be attributable to campaign donations by corporations, not just persons. That should open up the secrecy behind the corporatization of America using influence and power as the excuse, and exposing the reciprocity of legislation for donation that has already encumbered the political process in elections.

Beefing up the FEC and extending its powers over Corporations wasn't addressed but obviously is the important part of the decision left undisclosed.
