Count me inReader comment on: Unregulated Capitalism Submitted by Harry Binswanger (United States), Jan 1, 2019 18:09 "Very few real people are actually for "unregulated capitalism" Please sign me up for the few real people. No regulation is the only moral and practical policy. But you are so right that it's a straw man. We live in the regulatory state. All large companies have "Compliance" departments. What be that? Why, a department of the company that tries to figure out how to comply with the tens of thousands of regulations they are subject to. Under Bush II, hardly a Leftist administration, do you know how many regulations were imposed? 50,000. The most regulated industries--banking and insurance--were the ones that caused the 2008 debacle. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing.
