I see by responses on http://www.futureofcapitalism.com/2010/10/vanguard-endorses-obama-democrats that this is the same form letter that has been received by several other commenters. Unfortunately, it -- and the "clarification" on the blog -- misses my point.

Who is Steve Utkus, and how close is he to my investments?

I don't see him listed among senior management, so I have no idea if he's a phone rep or janitor's assistant -- but I want some degree of assurance that anyone with his level of financial understanding is kept far, far away from my accounts.

Further, Vanguard should seriously consider the advisability of using Mr. Utkus as the public face of the company on your blog. His original posting was referenced at http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/108594/ -- on a blog that receives approximately 250,000 visits/day. How many people have read the "clarification"? How many of these form letters have you had to send?
