Did ya'll know that the father of capitalism SUPPORTED government regulation, and considered it absolutely necessary? Did you know that he considered labor unions a necessary countervailing force to the power of capital? I would wager most of the people reading this blog don't know that stuff, BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT CAPITALISM IS, OR HOW IT WORKS.
(And btw, the early minivans got A LOT better mileage than the big old Detroit wagons, which is what consumers began demanding after the days of 29 and 39 cent gasoline were gone. You can't make a public buy what they don't want. They no longer wanted gas hogs that got only 8 miles per gallon.)
