FDA's killer snail-like pace

Regarding the FDA taking their sweet time: with more than 1000 Americans dying every day, their 4 day Thanksgiving weekend killed 4000+ people, and the extra week or ten days they're taking now will cost two or three times that many lives.
But, as "good bureaucrats," their first responsibility is to push papers, and they're doing a superb job with that!
