Better than doing nothingReader comment on: Chevy Volt Submitted by Jay (United States), Dec 10, 2011 11:12 But at least we aren't burning both coal and gas in the tank if we drive an electric car. Coal and natural gas plants should be much more efficient about the process of making energy from these products than a car would turning gasoline into energy. A step is a step even if its tiny, having to wait for renewable or more environmentally friendly electricity would mean that the electric car would have to wait a long time to start going through the growing pains of price drops.
