growing health care costs-- THE REASON

Reader comment on: Reaction to ObamaCare Passing

The primary reason health care was getting so expensive was DEMOCRAT MANDATES, on state levels and otherwise. Insurance companies were not being competitive because they did not HAVE to, having been given 'no compete zones' within the fifty states. Mandate. And the cost of health insurance was going up because every year Democrat governments in many states adopt mandatory coverages of various items, transexual surgery/mental health/etc, that puts HUGE pressure on premiums and gives patients no option to choose less expensive insurance.

Don't kid around. Government, and Democrats, was always the PROBLEM. It was always the cause of the CRISIS. Reform would have been the opposite of what has now happened, an INCREASE in government meddling in health care.
