Defend dividend tax increase to help elderly Americans

I am worried about the impact raising taxes will have on elderly Americans. This is what my parents are living on and they are in their late 70's and early 80's. This has caused them a great deal of stress as they don't have a pension from a company. They are also paying one of their granddaughter's rent every month. If they don't she just moves back in with them. My parents live within their means and have been in the same house for 45 years and have always paided a lot of taxes and donated a lot the charities. They have never had a hand out and don't want any now so please help them now as they have helped so many others.
I am also concerned that higher dividends tax rates will discourage investment and impact the stock values of dividend-paying companies, this will not promote growth in the economy. Please register my support for extending cuuent dividend tax rates for all Americans. Thank you for your time.
