Romney was right

Reader comment on: An Illuminating Yet Bizarre Debate

Submitted by richard40 (United States), Oct 4, 2012 15:47

I thought Romney was brilliant. He stood up for conservative principles, but in a way that reassured centrists, and destroyed Obama's class warfare strawmen. His tax plan, cut overall rates, but make it revenue and bracket neutral by cutting loopholes and deductions, is a good one, and it destroys Obama's tax cut for the rich strawman. I also liked Romney's concern that the too big to fail designation was setting us up for future bailouts, and screwing smaller banks. I also thought his proposed limit on leverage is a good idea, it allows innovation and risk, but with the shareholders money, rather than bailout taxpayer money.
