Subsidizing the Rich

Reader comment on: The $430,000 Law Professor

Submitted by Peter (United States), Apr 25, 2012 09:51

Obviously, if we take away the loan subsidies, the artificially high tuition rates will come down and so will the artificially inflated professorial salaries. Romney has it wrong on this one. And subsidizing student loan rates, which causes tution inflation, is no different than keeping mortgage rates low and credit terms easy through the GSEs, which inflated the cost of housing - and we all know how that turned out.
