The economy was in a minor recession in 1982 and the voters responded with a minor rebuke to the Republicans. The country is in a major downturn this year and the country is responding with a major rebuke.

Here I thought it was recovery summer and the recession official ended!

The question is who is to blame for the economy. A lot of the Democrats still blame Bush. A lot of the voters apparently not so much...
