Christopher, do you recall the Prime Time Live expose of Food Lion? Two reporters applied for jobs at Food Lion stores and then did their hidden camera tricks. Food Lion won in court on grounds that the reporters (or producers) misrepresented themselves. ABC didn't take any action against the reporters. (When the full video was released - after Food Lion - sued it showed that things were not quite as Prime Time Live had shown. But Food Lion would have been hard pressed to bring a libel suit successfully.)
