They're from different generations, really. The best of the generation of Republicans after Romney wasn't quite ready for prime time, unfortunately. They're still in office actually accomplishing stuff. What a novel concept. Herman Cain is from Romney's generation, and if he hadn't been taken out by an alleged sex scandal, he'd probably be the nominee. As for the best of the current Democrat generation, well, the less said about that the better. Andrew Cuomo, maybe?
